Injury Updates
Deuce and Najeh are out for the year (Sorry, propaganda and BTRMM). Love how quickly Antwoin Smith, Aaron
Stecker, and Tony Fisher were all picked up.

Vick, Darrell Jackson, Bobby Engram all did not play (This actually helped propaganda as Joe Jurevicius led his
team to victory)

Dillon, Big Ben, Thomas Jones, and Roy Williams all left the game early (All were productive for their respective
owners except Roy). Status for next week is up in the air. Could mean good things for Patrick Pass (Baltimore Tools)
who scored a TD in week 5, Cedric Benson (Shermtanks) and Kevin Johnson (who was snatched up off waivers by
Duckville Quackers) and Mike Williams.

But the biggest injury happened to the rookie speedster WR/KR/DB, B. Yeung who broke his foot in a freak football
accident.

It was an accident that just happens (especially to me). I was tempted to write up my own version of “By the
Numbers” related to the injury. But who wants to read that?

Some good news though, I get a handicapped parking pass.

In related news, Jay Cantor’s stattracker has informed me that I have used up 1,858 of my 1,946 allotted put-downs
for the year already. So, that means two things, I either stop making fun of myself or start saying nice things about
myself. I know what you’re asking, what happens if I reach 1,947? Well, Jay said he will kill me…

Back to fantasy football.

Life is very similar to fantasy football sometimes. It has its ups and downs. Sometimes you get lucky. Sometimes
people get hurt. But as is the beauty of fantasy football and life, your hopes can go down one minute, then right
back up the next. The downside of course is sometimes it goes the other way.

Propaganda – Congrats again on the first win. I guess if you were only going to get one win on the season, it might
as well come against one of your biggest rivals. However, after winning your first game of the season, you lose one
of your star running backs for the year and lose out on picking up his backups.

Shermtanks – Another recipient of his first win on the season. One of the few major trades on the year really scored
big for Mr. Sherman as Kevin Jones scored two TD’s (his first ever multi-TD game in his short career) leading
Shermtanks to a nice win over BTRMM. Now comes word that Cedric Benson may see more touches and things don’
t look so bad. Unless you consider that Peyton Manning has only one good game so far.

Brick Walls & Trees – Still undefeated with one of his stud RB’s on a bye and the other scoring only 5 points. The
mark a champion is winning in the face of adversity (see NE Patriots). Right now, the best draft pick might have
been the Indy Defense.

Nose – Things looked prime for Jarrett taking down BW&T from the ranks of the undefeated. But alas, it wasn’t
meant to be. The Chris Brown trade may help him for the next couple of weeks, but I still think he gave up on JJ
Arrington too early. Simply too much potential there. Plus who would you rather keep? Palmer and Boldin have been
outstanding. Like I said to Jay, I was starting to worry about Jarrett. I think he is too obsessed with fantasy football
and it’s becoming unhealthy. He won’t leave his apartment on Sunday. He writes a million posts confessing his love
for the league. But in the end, it could be worse. He could come out and play football in the park and get hurt.

Brock’s Bandits – Make that four straight and a very comfortable win for the man who is making a run at Jay Cantor
for cockiest man in the league. He simply has too many guys who can put up 20-30 points on you any given week.
Randy McMichael is what you want out of your TE, a consistent performer who will get you catches and TD’s.

Duckville Quackers – Nice trade for the man out west. Getting DNabb clears up a cloudy QB position for Parker.
Too bad he’s on a bye this week. He really didn’t give up much as Keenan McCardell was a sell high player. Fred
Taylor will produce nicely, but he doesn’t score TD’s. Parker can replace Fragile Freddy with Mewelde Moore and
Staley and Stecker could pan out giving him some depth at RB. This is a trade that could turn around PD’s season.

BTRMM – The other side of the trade. Rich needed help at RB given that neither Cadillac nor Ahman Green are
sure things. Plus having Eli Manning on the bench is a nice replacement and dare I say, a better play that McNabb.
Touch luck having Najeh go down, b/c he looked much better than Green. Troupe is turning out to be a nice TE
(Norm Chow baby). Like we all said on Sunday, nobody has better keepers than Rich.

Colt 45’s – The man is just finding ways to win. Led by the resurgent Favre and the newly acquired Hines Ward, the
man is looking in good shape. Keeping pace with last year, the man has already traded twice. He takes a hit at RB
depending on Shipp/JJ. But his WR core is now deadly. Plus, JJ is a good keeper.

Five Second Stare – The winner of the Denver RB prize is the real stud QB in the league (17 TD’s, one receiving,
and only 3 INT’s on Sunday). Tatum Bell looks to be the man although, for my sake and I hope this is true, but I
wouldn’t discount Mike Anderson just yet. Nate Burleson looks to be out longer than expected leaving the WR
questionable.

Married With Ravens – Slowly climbing his way back up the standings is the ‘owner of the week’. Marc, btw, it’s
going to be tough to find relevant things to put in the owner of the week page on the website. Taking down the
reigning champ thanks to Fitzgerald (this year’s breakout receiver) and Antonio Bryant (nice pickup). Is David Carr
a better play than Daunte? Probably not.

Nomads in the Deep – He really needed everyone on his bench since his benched players for week 5 were all
inactive (on a bye or injured) except Matt Hasselbeck who was a worse play than McNair. Michael Clayton is headed
for the dreaded sophomore slump. Good thing, Navid doesn’t need him.

New Jersey Jacobins – The man who is becoming terrible at returning phone calls, which is odd since he hates
other people who do that, is having a nice bounceback season. It’s safe to say, he’s not getting the toilet bowl next
year. Droughns will be the starter for the rest of the year, but like Fred Taylor, he just doesn’t score TD’s. Dilfer and
Brees are better than we all thought. Nice solid RB depth with the return of Bettis.

Baltimore Tools – My opponent for the week; hit the nail right on the head. Luck does make a difference. Last week
he faces Randy Moss on a bye, this week he faces T.O. on a bye. Sometimes it doesn’t matter if your team is really
good or bad, as long as you’re lucky. I mean I scored over 100 points every week, yet lost two of those. The one
week I don’t score 100, I lose to someone who scores 98.

To my Jewish friends, I’d like to wish you all a happy Yom Kippur.
