Below are the draft orders for 2003-2005 (in last place to first place order).
- 2005: Jason, Rich, Marc, Parker, Josh, Jay, Gregg, Jarrett, Brian, Scott, Nick, Chris, Dave, Navid.
- 2004: Dave, Brock, Gregg, Jarrett, Parker, Nick, Rich, Marc, Brian, Jay, Scott, Josh, Jason, Navid.
- 2003: Marc, Nick, Scott, Rich, Brian, Navid, Gregg, Chris, Josh, Duane (Jarrett), Dave, Parker, Jason, Jay
Based on that, you can deduct certain patterns.
Last place (Toilet Bowl Winner): Marc in 2003 finished 7th in 2004. Dave in 2004 finished 2nd in 2004. The key thing
here is that both made the playoffs the next year.
13th Place: Nick in 2003 finished 9th place in 2004 (failed to make playoffs). Brock in 2004 finished 3rd in 2005
(made playoffs).
12th Place: Scott in 2003 finished 4th in 2004. Gregg in 2004 finished in 8th place in 2005. Both made the playoffs
though.
11th Place: Rich in 2003 finished in 8th place in 2004. Jarrett in 2004 finished in 7th place in 2005. Both made
playoffs though.
10th Place: Brian in 2003 finished in 6th place in 2004 (made playoffs). Parker in 2004 finished in 11th place in 2005
(failed to make the playoffs).
9th Place: Navid in 2003 was the champion in 2004. Nick in 2004 finished in 4th place in 2005. Both made playoffs in
2005 (one champion).
8th Place: Gregg in 2003 finished in 12th place in 2004 (failed to make playoffs). Rich in 2004 finished in 13th place
in 2005 (failed to make playoffs). Key pattern here is that both missed the playoffs the following year.
7th Place: Chris in 2003 finished in 13th place in 2004 (failed to make playoffs). Marc in 2004 finished in 12th place in
2005 (failed to make playoffs). Both failed to make playoffs the following year.
6th Place: Josh in 2003 finished in 3rd place in 2004 (made playoffs). Brian in 2004 finished in 6th place again in
2005 (made playoffs). Both made playoffs the following year.
5th Place: Duane (Jarrett) in 2003 finished in 11th place in 2004 (failed to make the playoffs). Jay in 2004 finished in
9th place in 2005 (failed to make playoffs). Both missed playoffs the following year.
4th Place: Dave in 2003 finished in last place in 2004 (failed to make playoffs). Scott in 2004 finished in 5th place in
2005 (made playoffs).
3rd Place: Parker in 2003 finished in 10th place in 2004 (failed to make the playoffs). Josh in 2005 finished in 10th
place in 2005. Both failed to make playoffs and finished in 10th place.
2nd Place: Jason in 2003 finished in 2nd place again in 2004. Jason in 2004 finished in last place in 2005 (failed to
make the playoffs).
1st Place: Jay in 2003 finished in 5th place in 2004 (made playoffs). Navid in 2004 was champion again in 2005. Both
made playoffs again the year after.
Therefore, based on the above trends the following teams will make the playoffs in 2006.
- Navid (1st place in 2005)
- Brian (6th place in 2005)
- Jay (9th place in 2005)
- Parker (11th place in 2005)
- Marc (12th place in 2005)
- Jason (14th place in 2005)
Will miss playoffs:
- Chris (3rd place in 2005)
- Scott (5th place in 2005)
- Jarrett (7th place in 2005)
- Gregg (8th place in 2005)
For the final spot, here is a telling sign. Five of six lottery teams in 2003 made the playoffs in 2004. Also, five of six
lottery teams in 2004 made the playoffs in 2005. Therefore, one of the two last playoff spots will go to either Rich or
Josh. The other will be back in the lottery. The last playoff spot will go to either Nick or Dave.
I’m not sure if that means anything.
Lastly, just because. My own personal predictions based on rosters/history. I’ll even give you order and final regular
season record.
1. Jarrett (11-2)
2. Navid (11-2)
3. Scott (10-3)
4. Jason (8-5)
5. Parker (7-6)
6. Chris (7-6)
7. Rich (6-7)
8. Brian (6-7)
Good luck to everyone this year. I’ll see you in the playoffs.
