Well looks like it’s another lottery draft pick for me. At this rate, I could still get the toilet bowl. You guys have no idea how depressing that is.

If you guys want to know how it remotely feels to lose and write, take no further look than Scott Watson’s 2007 playoff preview. Then take a look at the
2005 and 2006 versions. I mean anybody other than Scott and we’d all be complaining about the lackluster attempt. It almost shames the column name,
Scott. Who do you think you are? Cut that shit out. I expect higher quality out of you Watson…

Anyway, the purpose of this article was to discuss trades. Navid asked me to write about it. And since he has never asked me to do anything before, I
figured why not? Problem is I have nothing to say. Everyone who is vocal in this league has chimed in over the message boards (Marc, Jay, Jason,
Chris, myself). So I think enough has been said already. The only thing I would like to add is these two points:

  1. Both trades involved Parker, and I just want it to be known that Parker struggled with both. He truly felt bad that the trades became an issue and
that just shows the kind of guy he is. I mean, this is Fantasy Football. No room for nice guys here (which is why I always lose in life and in fantasy
sports). It’s a cutthroat game. If you can take advantage of someone, who cares what others think, as long as you’re the one holding that trophy
at seasons end. Folks, this is how things work in other leagues. But not ours. So you guys must understand that Parker made phone calls and
got opinions from several people to make sure he wasn’t doing anything wrong. He cares that much about the league and would never do
anything to harm the order of things.
  2. I do find it funny, that in our league the only ones who complain are those who are at the top of the rankings. I guess trades could be seen as a
threat to them winning the trophy, and Chris’ argument is not unwarranted. However, for those who forget (I never forget) Navid himself
complained last year against my trade with Dave. Dave was still in contention and made a move to get DeShaun Foster for Jason Witten. Look
how that turned out for both teams (neither of us made the playoffs). Sometimes you just have to have faith in your team people. And don’t be
mad if you could have made a trade and gotten somebody better. Let it be a lesson to all of you, make trade offers, put feelers out with other
league members. Never be content. Even if you are 10-0 like the Pats. Because I don’t think any of these trades are unfair in the eyes of the
teams trading and if it is even remotely unfair, it was the best offer he could get. Overall, I think it’s more of a complaint from those who think
there chances of winning are hurt by such trades. Which isn’t right.

Congrats to Chris and Rich for qualifying for the playoffs. Josh and Jason should be joining you shortly.

Several pointless thoughts:

  • I’m not an OC fan, but Rachel Bilson is pretty hot. She might be my choice for the draft book next year (unless we retire that question).
  • Saw American Gangster. Thought it was good, not great.
  • I hate Sprint. My cell phone doesn’t work in my house. What the fuck?
  • The monitor broke on my laptop and my warranty expired. Fuck you Dell.
  • In the next month or so, we are all going to miss having new episodes of our favorite original shows. Lesson, don’t cheat the writers.
  • I think two people in our league should have a slap bet and Marc should be the commissioner.

Finally, this message is to Richard Kiss. I’ve had a tough year. My guarantee was just an attempt to be positive. Thanks for shitting all over it. What do
you want from me? People complain when I’m being too negative. Then I try and be positive and it always fails. Listen buddy, you try going through a
year where your top 3 guys get injured. Everyone on my team gets injured (even Selvin Young, my only shining light). My best year, T.O. gets injured
just in time for the playoffs. What the fuck? Even the owner gets injured. I mean, Jay, Scott, Marc, Jason, and Navid play football a hundred times. No
broken bones. I play football once, two broken bones. What the fuck? So here is to your ‘giving thanks’ post, Rich. (cue the middle finger salute). And
to think, Rich…you were one of the last people I considered a friend in this league. Now it’s just Jarrett. And he only talks to me because he wants
Steven Jackson. Fuck you all…I’m in a bad mood.

GOOD LUCK JASON (AND I SUPPOSE GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU TOO, EVEN YOU RICH).

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
On a serious note, and despite my bad mood, I am truly thankful to know each of you. I’ve become closer friends with some of you over the past year
and am thankful that this league has allowed that to happen.

You’ll have to excuse me for the language I used in this column...
