I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving! But what happened to Turkey Bowl?
I'll keep this one relatively brief, since I wrote so much in Marc's column. Check that out...it's really good.
Good luck to all the team's in the playoffs. There are five people who would kill to be in your shoes right now (soon to be six). And it's
fitting that it comes down to Parker and Jarrett for the final playoff spot. One guy who is dying to get back to the playoffs, and another
who has finished 8th two years in a row.
I may be wrong, but I think this is the first year that only two teams were fighting for the final spot(s) going into the final week. Anyway,
just one curious question. What would happen if they tied record and point wise? Sure it's highly unlikely, but it's not impossible...right?
My prediction: A tie...go Parker Blass. Or is it Jarrett Deay. How about Parett Deass?
Two playoff notes:
From the "What do I know department?": I think there are some backup RB's that should be picked up immediately. Take a look at the guys who are
starting right now and being incredibly productive (or will be)...Kolby Smith, Selvin Young, Andre Hall, Fred Jackson, Reuben Droughns, Samkon Gado,
Adrian Peterson (CHI), Justin Fargas, Maurice Morris, Aaron Stecker...you get the point. I think at this point, if you have your QB and your 3-4 WR's set,
then you should make sure you have handcuffs to your RB's. And while you're at it, if you have a top 5-10 stud, then you may want to consider picking
up their handcuffs (Cassell, etc)
My prediction for a relative unknown who will come up big in the playoffs: Antonio Pittman (STL)
(Keep in mind, I am the same guy who predicted Garrett Wolfe will be a huge sleeper...although that isn't out of the question). And I did predict that
Cedric Benson would be a bust.
Some final thoughts on life and myself:

- We all killed Chris's pick of Anthony Gonzalez so early in the draft. But he may pay off big time during the playoffs (at least, if his Thanksgiving

- It sucks when you want to do something that nobody else can understand. When they don't understand, they don't support you. And in the end...
I'm not sure if I have the courage to keep fighting it. - Why do the nice, genuine good girls fall for the asshole guys (nobody in this group, but c'mon who are we kidding, you know what I'm talking
about)? And why do the nice, genuine good guys always meet the snobby, bitchy girls? Can the good ones just find each other and the fucked
up ones go on making each other's lives more miserable...you know, in the name of a challenge. Sigh, I wish it were that easy. - Saw Beowulf. Cool to watch. Not that good though. I AM BEOWULF!!!
