What an ugly win. I basically played the only team I could have beaten. I do feel sorry for the teams that scored over 100 and lost. But a win is a win.
And my motto during the playoffs is simply “survive and advance”.
Congrats to the teams that made it to the semifinals.
- Josh – you squeeze into the playoffs and then you upset the #1 seed. That might make you a team of destiny.
- Rich – you looked history right in the face and said, “What did the five fingers say to the face?”…(SLAP!!!). Rich’s first playoff win ever, could this
mean he’s finally gotten over that hurdle. Like Peyton, like Jordan, like Garnett…once you get over that hurdle there is nothing that can stop you.
- Navid – An impressive victory over Parker at his best. Your team is scary and now we get to face off to find out who wins the trade. Good luck to
you.
As for the four teams eliminated. Great season guys. Someone has to lose and unfortunately it had to be you guys. But you still have the five layer dip
bowl and the Manute bowl to play for. And next season doesn’t look so bad for you guys as you have some impressive keepers to choose from.
- Jason – Fitzgerald, Cutler, Hightower, Forte
- Scott – Colston, Slaton, Portis (good game buddy)
- Dave – Brady, Barber, Witten
- Parker – Westbrook, Welker
I’m writing a quick edition here. Just wanted to share with you a story from what I like to call “My other league”.
It’s a ten team league. Some of the guys don’t pay attention. Others bitch and complain so much I wonder if they have penises or not. Work guys, what
do you expect? So it comes down to the last week. Four teams make it. Three have clinched. The top spot is still yet to be determined. First place team
leads the second place team by one win, but less points. The team that finishes in first at the end of the regular season gets $250. Going into Monday
the second place team has already won. The first place team is up against the fifth place team. He holds a comfortable 25 point lead. He has no players
left, his opponent has one man: Antonio Bryant. The fourth place team has lost. So win and the fifth place team is in. Lose and go home. Did I mention
he was the defending champ and named his team so? Well, we all know what happened next: 200 yards, 9 catches, and 2 TD’s later and we have a
new first place team (by a mere 2 points in total points scored) and the defending champ is back in the playoffs with the final spot. How’d I finish you
ask? I was the third place team with the most points in the league.
Good luck everyone. I had to write this quick, so apologies for any errors.
