Year in and year out this league can chance so much.  Teams go from worst (Jacobins) to better, or from great (Tanks) to
worst.  I was 8-5, and am not guaranteed to be under .500 for the second time in my career.  12 little months can bring us the
joy of a super bowl trip to the agony of the IR list.  Last year, I was in, this year, I’m scratching and begging to be invited to the
dance.

And this goes beyond football too: jobs change, girlfriend become fiancés (and finally wives), we move, we gain weight, we lose
weight, we regain weight, we watch 24 and then get sucked into Prison Break - only to find out that Lost is better than both.  We
live in a day and time where communication is instant and we are lucky enough to constantly keep up with each other.  On the
eve of Thanksgiving this is what I think about.

This and giving thanks that no one will kill me for making this so short:

5 Card Bust
Tools can’t pull it together, and the new Monday night curse is proof.  With Driver spanking me pretty good (and Wiggins,
watching, laughing and collecting an extra 11 for Nomads), this has become embarrassing, and a 5 game skid could have
pushed me right out of the playoffs.  Nomads has a heck of a team – especially this week with 3 players over 20 points.  At 9-2,
he looks to be Watson’s biggest threat.

Tanks Make it 2 in a Row
Tanks finally have a streak! Thanks in part to a shoot out in Cincy, where Manning walked away with 31 points.  Recent
acquisitions Matt Jones and Willie Parker helped pep up the rest of the team, adding 25 into the mix.  Five fought hard, with
Leftwich having his best day of the year (34), and Tomlison adding on 15.  But with no performance at all from Galloway, and a
slow day for Keyshawn (7), Five couldn’t collect the 4 slight points he needed to pull out this victory.

Bandits Cut Nose
Brock seems to have built a team ready to put up points – and wins.  This week, the Brady\Branch combo got him 39, while
fantasy all-stars Holt and Alexander added 46 combined.  Add on Rudi’s 19 and the 128 looks like it should have been so much
more (come on McMichael!).  That all said, you can’t put anything past the game Nose had, with Palmer, Boldin and Brown
cracking the 20 point mark.  A lackluster performance by Steven Jackson scored just 2 points, his lowest of the season and 13
below his average... and those 13 would have won the game.

Walls Maintain the Mouth
Walls continues to show why he is in the number 1 spot, holding off a tough competitor in Mouth this week.  Eli by far had the
biggest day for Mouth with 28 (guess dumping McNabb was a brilliant move), and Lelie\McCardell\Coles 37 helped out.   But
Brick again proved that a balanced attack is better than a big game: Jordan and Westbrook averaged 11 for the day, while
Wilkens and Cooley each had 9.  Add on Bulger’s 22 and it is a significant win (considering the Indy D managed to stay at 0
after giving up a slew of points).  The loss of Bulger is big, especially since Walls suffered his only loss without him. Could Walls
now be showing cracks? (a statement I have made before to no avail)

Battle of the Brides Proves You Should Always Go With Newlyweds
Fun game. Unless you’re Lukin.  Neither team impressed, especially Married who only had 3 key players (Burress, Crumpler
and the Denver D).  Colts sent out a more balanced team, especially in the QB, WR arena.  Kennison\Ward\Johnson (a WR
core not to be recon with) averaged 19 points each.  Colts showed signs of problems at D with Portis at 2.73 and Pearman at
6.33.  The playoffs may be on the horizon for the nelywed, but a championship will require a more productive RB grouping.

Blade Cuts Big Wound
Not that I want to cut this short but – Collins\Porter (37), Curtis (21), Anderson (30) and an impressive Chicago D (27) – I need
to say, yes? Ok, how about 5+ from every other player? That is a great day.  Jacobins crossed the century mark for the 5th
time this year, thanks 34% in part to Drew Brees and his 3+ TD’s at home this week.  Barber (11) and Droughns (18) are an
incredible 1-2 punch, but a slow day from Moss\Stokley\Smith could be a problem going into the home stretch.

Two Teams Sub 100 Play Anyway
What’s to say? The only two teams to score under 100 this week, happened to be playing each other. Convenient  – for
Parker.  McNabb now gone, Duck looked to Warner to shine in his old home – and he did with 32 points, more than McNabb did
for the Ducks.  Fitz seems to be a great grab, scoring 22, while Gado proved him might be a one-week pony (3.4).  propo didn’t
fight back much, considering this he’s back in the states and has some free “sans girlfriend” time now: Simms under performed
in a win, while Gates scored 16 and left hurt.  But where was the D? St. Louis at 0 was no help at all.

Best of luck to everyone this week.
Due to the Thursday games, Swami will have predictions entered by the Wednesday night.
