Another wild week as we begin separating in our own unique way.  We have a clear “upper-echelon” with Brock, Born and Bush.  A “middle pack” with
all of our 4-3 and 3-4 teams.  And of course the “basement dwellers” with Brian, Dave, Nick and myself.  My guess (and hope) is we’re going to see
this deck get shuffled in the upcoming weeks…

This week’s news is that Cantor and Navid’s game marked a huge milestone: We have our first team to score over 7,000 points lifetime.  Navid officially
now has 7,054.49 lifetime.  Lukin should be right behind him this weekend, needing just 58.76 to accomplish the feat.  The farthest away? Parker Deay
who needs 416.83 points to get to
6,000

In other record news, Josh’s loss dropped him to 44-28 lifetime.  Had Navid won, they would have pulled even, but his loss dropped him to 43-29.
These two meet in Week 10, so all things being equal, it could be a big historic game.

Some Week 7 quick hits…

CRABS SHOW TOOLS WHO THE REAL MARYLAND TEAM IS
Maryland Fighting Blue Crabs 102.70 defeats Baltimore Tools 69.97
  • True story: In our six meetings, Gregg and I are 3-3 with a mere 0.62 points separating us (the edge to me). Crazy huh!?
  • Thanks to more sh*tty days from Jones/Benson, Gregg had me beaten by 10+ points before Peyton even took the field. (PS – Thanks to Lee
Evans for finally crossing into double digit gains… now if only you and Roy could do it on the same weekend)
  • How good is Manning, TO and Ocho Cinco? So good that Gregg had two players score less than 1 point, including Marcellus Rivers who scored
    nada.

CANTOR SQUEAKS OUT ANOTHER WIN OVER NAVID
Five Second Stare 81.51 defeats Nomads in the Deep 77.51
  • While Navid owns this series 4-2, Cantor clearly has the momentum.  Since Navid’s Week 10, 2006 beating (141.89 – 110.74) Cantor has
beaten Navid twice, including ROFF Bowl V and this past week when he snapped Navid’s 3-game win streak
  • Does Five's Adrian Peterson remind anyone of Barry Sanders? Now, the question is: who is the Number 2 RB?
  • Welcome back Nomad's LJ!  After five “EH” weeks, he has really come alive for the Nomads in the last two, scoring 15 in Week 6 and 20 in Week
    7. Is he about to explode after his Week 8 bye?

GOOGLE BOUNCES BACK IN A BIG WAY
The Next Google 145.72 defeats Random Thoughts 106.48
  • Scott continues to hold one of only two of the most dominate head-to-head match-ups in the league, extending his reign over Brian to 6-0 (Lukin
has the other franchise with a 6-0 mark… on me).
  • Scott blew up in a big way this week, scoring 20 points better than his previous 2007 high and the most points since Week 1, 2004 when he
scored 146.58 on Navid. Thanks to Pennington, Welker and Coles for scoring almost 30 points each.
  • Losing is always a bummer, especially losing a player.  RIP Ronnie Brown 2007.  You did a great job. To date Brown is the number 1 running
back in ROFF with 137.07 points.  (B – Keep hoping for big 33 point days from the Giants D, especially this week in London against my Phins)

BROCK HOLDS ON FOR WIN IN BIG DAY FOR BOTH
Brock's Bandits 140.84 defeats BushMaroney'07 123.12
  • ROFF has never had a team score 100+ points in every regular season game.  Watson ’05 and Blass ’06 came the closest, scoring 100+ in 12
out of 13 games.  This year, through five games we had two teams with 100+ in every game.  Cantor’s 80+ point performance this week knocked
him out.  So it’s on Brock.  But remember, NE is taking Week 10 off. (Congrats to Gregg on that lucky draw…)
  • This week marked Brock’s fourth time over 140 points this season. Without checking, I’m pretty sure that is some sort of record.  You can thank
Brady for that (PS – I’m calling BS. Belichick sends in Cassel this weekend when the game was out of hand and then replaces him with Brady
because he thinks that three TD’s aren’t enough to insure the win?!?!)
  • On the other side, Lukin has nothing to be ashamed of: 123 was his second highest performance of the year thanks to Rudi J staying on the
bench allowing Kenny Watson to run all over Gang Green (31.47 points).

NOSE DENIES JACOBINS WIN IN NON-SWAMI PICK WEEK
Nose 163.35 defeats New Jersey Jacobins 99.90
  • The more things change: Like this year, last year Dave stared our 2-1.  He followed that up by winning only 2 of his next 10 games.  Those two
games were the only ones where he scored 100+ points.  He has currently followed up his 2-1 start by losing the next four, and hasn’t crossed
triple digits in any of those four losses.
  • What an incredible performance by Nose - 163.35 was his highest ever and the sixth highest day ever in league history (interesting side note:
No team has ever eclipsed 160 points twice in their career).  He can give a big thank you to the team performance with all but the kicker going
into double digitals.  Plus he can thank a OUT-OF-NOWHERE Seattle D for contributing 38 points.
  • Dave certainly has some highlights on his team with McNabb (18), Curry (13), Barber (17) and Dallas Clark (14).  Also, he needs me to stop
picking him… especially in his head.

NICK’S UPTURN WILL HAVE TO WAIT
Born to Run My Mouth 111.32 defeats anti-trust 68.56
  • Not quite sure why I didn’t see this coming.  Nick, who is tied for worst lifetime record in the league (28-44 with Dave), has a losing record
against 9 teams, including being 1-5 against three of them… including Rich now.  Oh and this loss makes him 1-5 historically in Week 7 games
  • But enough of the negatives.  Nick had some bad luck (Schaub) but also some bright spots including an official welcome back for Brandon
Jacobs (17) and Reggie Wayne (17; he returned from a bye week).
  • Born meanwhile got his fifth win of the season for the first time since 2004.  It helps to have Romo (18), Housh (13), Ward (12), McGahee (15)
and Ike Hilliard (21???) playing for you. Now if you could just get Alexander going (even in a 33-6 rout of the Rams he couldn’t get anything
    going…)

HORSES PULL TO EVEN WITH TANKS
Hungry Horses 107.69 defeats Shermtanks 103.66
  • Parker and Jason’s last two games against each other have been separated by less than 5 points.  An interesting fact when you consider that
from 2003 – 2005, Parker dominated the games by over 20 points per game…
  • Since LT was busy saving his home, Jason played two Pitt RB’s, which would have worked the previous week when Davenport had two TDs.
    This week? Just 0.88 points.
  • Parker seems to have his RB situation worked out, with both Westbrook and Addai playing into double digits.  If he can get a healthy Harrison
back, he could make a late season run here.  After all, 3-4 isn’t so bad…

Best of luck to everyone this week.
Swami, 3-4 last week, will be have predictions entered by the Saturday night
