In my opinion, VA said it best: “I prefer getting my ass kicked on Sunday instead of getting a kick in the balls Monday night.” It’s so true. I lost a few
weeks ago to Lukin, 113 – 54. I felt fine at the end of the day. My team didn’t perform and there’s nothing I can do. A loss is a loss.

But when Navid beat me on Monday night by 5 because Gates and Jones weren’t doing anything for me… Devastating. When Brock was down by 32
this week and had Cassel\Moss combine for over 40 while Faulk did nothing (in a game where two other NE RB’s got a TD)… even more devastating.

They say this is a game of inches. I say fuck the game.

Quickly before bullet points: Has anyone noticed a slight discrepancy in the league points? Mainly that Brian (#12 overall, #3 in points) and Brock (#4
overall, #10 in points) should probably be in different spots right now. The other two big differences are Nose - who sit’s in a playoff-safe 7th place
right now, while being the 13th in points – and Cantor, who can’t seem to win even though he’s 9th in points.

Maryland Tools 97.09 vs. Colt .45 Bandits 107.05
  • It took Matt Cassel (27 points; averaging just 11.52/game before this week) and Randy Moss’ (21 points; averaging just 10.03/game before this
week) biggest days of the year to beat me. ARGGGGGGGGGGGG!
  • Welcome back Trent Edwards – not missing a beat, Edwards got me 19.18 points, up four points from the last full game he played in Week 4
  • Where were our defenses? While San Diego gave up 23 points and left me with a goose egg, it was Brock’s Dallas D who gave up 34 points,
putting them into negative territory. The difference? Dallas also had 5 sacks which put him into the plusses with 8
  • Brock became the most recent addition to the 8,000 club. His 107 this week put him clear over the 8k mark, with a total 8,061.22 points. Next up:
Cantor who needs just 0.04 to do it!

Five Second Stare 110.40 vs. Born To Run My Mouth 115.89
  • Can someone PLEASE cut Cantor a break!? This is the third game that Cantor has played this year that has been decided by less than 7 points
and the fourth decided by less than 20! Come on! Something HAS to go his way eventually right? I mean the man has posted 100+ points 5
times this season! How bad could his luck be!
  • Note to Cantor, re: his luck – Please listen to Podcast, Edition 9. Brock and I discuss your luck and we know the problem: By not writing on the
message boards and by not writing WGLPT, you have essentially pissed off the Fantasy G-ds and are not being punished. Dude – contribute
and you’ll win. It’s as simple as that!
  • Sorry, Rich. Don’t mean to not give you love. First off congrats on your engagement. Mazol Tov! Second, congrats on the bounce back win. You
have won 3 of the last 5, and posted 100+ in the three wins, and less in the two losses. See a pattern forming?
  • With Romo out, Rich could be relying too much on the Giants D (27 last week). Add on Palmers absence in Cincy effecting Housh and
McFadden being, well, a Raider to hurt him. If Benson is not the answer and James continues to not put up, how long can you continue to go as
    the Giants D does?

Double G 89.84 vs. Coffeeon3rd 77.56
  • Scott is on a TEAR! Ok, maybe not with a 89.84 showing this week, but definitely with a six game tear including a win over first place Tanks.
  • Part of Scott’s suffering this week came from a lack of Jones-Drew, on a bye, and Brett Farve’s lowest point total of the year (and the first time
he has not been in double digits this year)
  • Josh got beat up pretty good in a week that saw his star WR’s really let him down: White and Jackson were on a bye, Steve Smith (NYG) posted
just 6.6 points, Colston – in what was to be his first game back – laid a goose egg and Shaun McDonald did even worse, posting a negative half
a point (thanks to -7 receiving yards).
  • The only reason Josh got such a high number this week? Mewelde Moore’s big game in Willie Parkers absence. Moore’s 31.93 accounted for
    41% of Lukin’s total.

Nomads in the Deep 111.45 vs. B'Day 107.30
  • I’ll say it, I don’t care: Brian Yeung should not be 2-5. He has never had a bad day yet, posting 90+ in every game this season. Sadly, he losses
every game that opponents gain 100 points or more on him. This week’s 4.15 difference in total is just salt in the wound, especially since
    Scheffler was a late scratch.
  • What’s going to happen the day that BOTH Steven Jackson AND Michael Turner have 3 TD’s each? I think Brian’s head might explode.
  • Good bounce back week for Navid: After two losses (albeit to the number 1 and 2 ranked teams), he bounced thanks to a big day from Dominic
Rhodes (23 points). He’ll be a big help to the team if Addai stays out for a few more weeks.

New Jersey Jacobins 120.62 vs. Nose 86.10
  • Dave, do me a favor: Have Tina stand in front of you, look you in the eyes and applaud you for 30 – 45 seconds. That’s from me buddy. You
deserve it. Written off as dead after Brady went down, you have fought for wins (including two decided by less than 2 points) and are sitting
    pretty at 5-2. Congrats!
  • Dave, do yourself a favor: Send Kyle Orton a thank you letter. The once written off QB has been great for the Bears and Jacobins, averaging 23
points per game in the three games you have started him (coincidentally, you’re on a four game winning streak right now).
  • Jarrett is sitting in a great spot now with a 4-3 record, but is vulnerable. He has posted just one 100+ game, and just one other above 90. His
team seems to be sitting in that 87 point range and not moving much. In the last four games (where he is 2-2), his team is averaging just 88.39
per game (with a game high 93.59 and game low 85.20).
  • Regardless of the low scoring affair, Nose has the best player in ROFFL right now: Aaron Rodger. His 163.48 points is the leagues best. The
second highest earner for Nose is on his bench: Roethlisberger (97.41). With Rodgers bye this week, does someone smell (no pun intended) a
    trade coming?

fair trade 81.25 vs. Soaring Pigs 80.54
  • Add Parker to my list of people I feel bad for. During his current three game losing streak, he has lost be an average of just 1.88 points. It all
began with a 3 point loss to Brock, followed by a 2 point loss to Dave and now a 0.71 point loss to Nick. What’s next, a 0.04 point loss to VA?
  • You can’t fault Parker’s team for posting such a low number this week: Although Eli was a ok sub for McNabb, Dunn and Bradshaw couldn’t
share Westbrook’s jock, posting just 14 points total.
  • I told you not to count Nick out as we headed into the later weeks (and F! I get him in Week 9!): After starting the season 1-4 (including games in
which he scored 55 points and 48 points), he has righted the ship and is on a two-game winning streak.
  • Is Willie back? After his sub Mewelde Moore’s big game last week, Nick has to feel good about his chances when Parker is back.

Fighting Blue Crabs 105.17 vs. Shermtanks 114.52
  • Yes, Jason’s team is good. But HOW good? Well, this weeks 114 (which VA made him sweat out) is just the second lowest scoring day he has
had all season and he did it without Fitzgerald.
  • That's Just Stupid: Jason got 6 points from Rashied David (a WR sub for him) on a fumble recovery when another Chicago receiver had the ball
knocked loose at the goal line.
  • Did anyone notice that Jason is holding onto Kevin Curtis? Fitz, Burress, Cotchery and Curtis one day? That’s just scary to think about. The only
question is, which three to play?
  • Add VA to the list: Manning has been very frustrating this season, with everything from a 30 point game (last week) to a 7 point game (this
week). And add TO to the problems, especially now that Romo’s gone.
  • Oh and Sammy Morris too – his 15.20 was great in this loss, but his injury may cost him the starter/most prominent runner in NE
  • Remember when Chicago and Baltimore had the most dominate D’s in the league? Seems like VA does, since they’re both on his team.
Baltimore is still number 1, but Chicago was the right play this week: Even thought they gave up 41, they scored 24 points thanks to two TD’s, 4
INT’s, 1 fumble recovery and 2 sacks. I’m sooooo jealous!

Best of luck to everyone this week.
Swami, 6-1 last week, will be have predictions entered by the Saturday night
