I want to yell FUCK really loudly. REALLY, REALLY loudly. But then I look at Parker’s team, and all that fucking just goes away. (Is that what she said).
After another stressful week in the ROFF, we have three clearly dominate teams, two teams that should crusie into the playoffs and a cluster of 4-4's
and 3-5's that could find some big changes happening in the next few weeks. Just 5 more games to go. Make them worth it.
With Cantor’s WGLPT returning this week, I’m going to make my Commish Recap short and sweet. So… here… we… go…
Maryland Tools 114.46 vs. New Jersey Jacobins 125.41
- I better not be gross this week, CANTOR. The numbers don’t lie: Fourth highest points this week. 90+ points in the last three games. I’ve run
into some bad luck against Brock and Dave, but the team and the future is strong.
- True story: I picked up the San Fran D on Friday for two reasons: 1. I liked their chances vs. a depleted Seahawks team and 2. to screw Dave.
He didn’t have a D and they scared me. So what did he do? Picked up the Seattle D. The outcome? Seattle’s D 27, San Fran D 0. But it could
have been worse: My go-to D the Chargers put up negative points.
- Dave has been amazing this season, collecting a 6-2 record without his number one draft pick. Guess those two hours in between rounds
helped you build a great team.
- And finally, FUCK LEON WASHINGTON! His two TD’s helped give Dave the win and they should have gone to my RB, THOMAS JONES, THE
FUCKING STARTER!!!
Five Second Stare 101.04 vs. Colt .45 Bandits 88.13
- First and foremost: Congrats to Jason Cantor and Five Second Stare on winning their first game of the season. No one should ever lay a goose-
egg in the W column and you deserve a win after MANY stressful weeks. Congrats buddy.
- What happened to the Colt’s last week? Cassel\Moss seems to be the next big thing and Boldin return to form in a big way (27) points. But
Jonathan Stewart got shut down after while DeAngelo Williams and Green-Ellis was a miserable sub for Earnest Graham. Add on a terrible
Jacksonville D against the Browns.
- History DOES repeat itself: The last time Cantor’s franchise started this badly was an 0-8 start in 2002. The team that was beat to end the slide?
Brock’s.
Double G 105.62 vs. Born To Run My Mouth 80.81
- I had the enjoyable experience of spending Sunday with Scott this week and the enjoyable experience of watching his Blackberry go from fully
charged to completely dead as he spent pretty much every moment on it looking up scores and stats. The man thought he had lost many times
throughout the day. Luckily Dallas Clark gave him another win.
- Seriously, 7 in a row? Unreal.
- Poor Born. While Romo isn't hurting him (Warner’s 28 is a sweeeeet replacement), the rest of the team is – James is a bust and Shockey,
Benson (McFadden too) and Mason are toss ups
Nomads in the Deep 120.15 vs. Coffeeon3rd 96.16
- I have to stop calling people's team out as old and past their prime. Especially Navid. At 5-3 and a winner of 5 of the last 7, Nomads are as
strong as they ever are, posting 100+ points in his last three games. Add on Gore in a smash mouth running Offense and life is good.
- Guess Gonzalez is going to be good after all. Without Croyle (again) and with a team that wanted to trade him, he still posted 17. Not bad for a
washed up geezer.
- After posting back-to-back 100+ point games in Weeks 5 and 6, Coffee has fallen back to earth with back-to-back sub 100 point games and two
losses. Credit the absence of Reggie Bush and Felix Jones for that.
B'Day 117.78 vs. Shermtanks 104.42
- Who told Brian Yeung he was invited to this party? Sitting at 2-5 and playing the then first place Tanks, I was ready to write Brian off. Guess I
was wrong thanks to Donnie Avery (a drop Scott made that he was kicking himself about all day Sunday), Chris Johnson (who's 16 points could
have been sooo much more) and Drew Bree's (32!).
- Plax continues to be Tank's Larry Johnson as his weekly status is in limbo. Luckily for the Tanks, Curtis returned this weekend. Even though it
was a lackluster return (6 points), the future looks bright for the Penn kid.
- We have an LT sighting with 22 point, the Shermtank high for the week!
- Can someone PLEASE tell me when AGog is going to live up to his potential?
fair trade 91.94 vs. Nose 84.64
- I have not played these two yet, but I very much look forward to it. Ok, that's mean, but COME ON! 114 points and I lose? Sorry, this isn't about
me, but it sooooo is!
- Does someone want to tell Nick that his team is not as good as he thinks? Ok, that's mean too. But look at the guy: Only two games at 100+ and
one of them was in Week 1. Yet he has 3 wins under his belt thanks to sub 90 point performances. Looking at the future doesn't seem so bright
though: Double G, Nomads and B'Day are waiting.
- Matt Schaub is single handedly holding up trade: 30.87 points makes him the only trade employee to cross 15, 20, and 30 point marks and one
of three trade's to go into double digits. But beware. Willie may be back soon...
- Jarrett is still benefiting from his controversial Steve Smith pick: 24.4 points, a team high this week and four times better than six other players on
his team.
- Nick's win evens these two up at 4-4. Which one of these two will still remain in 5 weeks? I say only one of the two.
Fighting Blue Crabs 99.61 vs. Soaring Pigs 91.60
- I watched that Monday Night Football game. I saw the Crab's Manning throw and INT to Pig's defense. I saw the 4 point swing giving Parker a 92-
90 advantage. And then I saw a last minute, garbage TD by Manning put Crabs over the Pigs. It's a damn shame cause it just adds to the
horrible string of bad luck the Pigs have had. Parker just suffered his fourth less than 10 point loss in a row. That just SUCKS.
- On the positive side, "Go Phillies!"
- Congrats to VA on his second win, allowing him to avoid 14th place for the 8th week in a row. Credit Manning's 26 and Baltimore's 19 for this win.
- Welcome back Brian Westbrook! 32 points! ZOINKS!
- Someone please tell TO and Hines Ward they should NEVER be worth less than 10.
Best of luck to everyone this week.
Swami, 3-4 last week, will be have predictions entered by the Saturday night
