I wasn't going to write a recap this week. I was feeling pretty down about being beaten this week (after posting my second highest point total of the
year). After all, a win PLUS my points would have put me into the playoffs. Alas, it was not meant to be (WHAT MORE DO YOU FANTASY FOOTBALL
G-DS WANT!? HAVE I NOT DONE ENOUGH!?!?! A DRAFT BOOK!? A DRAFT WEEKEND!? A WEBSITE!? A BLOG!? LOGOS, TEAM UNIFORMS,
MASCOTS, TWO WEEKLY COLUMNS!?!?!?!??!!)

Breath, Epstein.

Anywho, I decided to write a column after I received a text from Rich that read: "Dude. I'm on the verge of what has to be one of the most lopsided wins
in ROFFL history. Am I breaking a record or what?" Never one to turn down a challenge, I put some numbers together and found out....

He's totally right.

Rich's 153.85 - 44.57 win over Brock this week was the biggest defeat in ROFFL history. The 109.28 point difference surpasses Shermtanks' Week 9
win over Born to Run My Mouth in 2006 where Jason scored 192.49 to Rich's 104.33 (diff of 88.16). Kiss, as it turns out, also had the second biggest
defeat this year, beating the Blue Crabs 126.11 - 57.08 (diff of 69.03), which ranks 13th all time.

As long as we have this chart now (available in the HISTORY doc - available on the
homepage - under the tab GAMES), what was the CLOSEST game
in ROFFL history? That would be Navid's Week 13 win in 2004 over Lukin's One Way to Asia. Final score: 105.32 - 105.30 (diff of 0.02). In fact, it was
that win that pushed the then 5-7 Nomads into the playoffs where they would eventually go on to win their first ROFFL Trophy.

As for this year, the closest game was Brian's Week 10 over Born, 82.03 - 81.93 (diff of 0.10).

For the record, all of these stats are for the regular season only and come from a combined 637 regular season games played over the course of 91
weeks of regular season fantasy football.

Finally, here's a look at some final numbers for the season - and a dramatic, heartbreaking and totally fantastic season at that!
