| Baltimore Tools vs. Duckville Quackers My desire to win and NOT be the first person to appear on ANY trophy twice outweighs anyone’s desire to make the Playoffs this week. Tac on a chance to end my six game skid and roll into next year on a winning “streak”… yeah, Tools get the win. No doubt in my mind. PICK: TOOLS propaganda vs. Five Second Stare After falling to Nick last week, I really can’t imagine a scenario where he doesn’t surprise the league and pull off another win this week. With Johnson at the helm now, Bruce back from injury and the possibility of a good day from the Baltimore D, I’m shaking that this man – last in the league in points and the underdog since his week 1, 77 – 73 loss – will make the playoffs. Cantor will need to dominate this game and see Aaron Brooks do better than his 14 points per game this season (12 when playing). Based on the beating Serrano gave me, I’m picking Nick to win and possibly put HIS name on the trophy twice. PICK: PROPA’S FIRST GAME IN US IS HIS BEST THIS SEASON – BEWARE THE REPEAT Nomads in the Deep vs. Nose I don’t have much to say, but that I agree with WGLPT: This might be a Championship preview. Both are in the playoffs and have nothing to lose this week. But as this is FANTASY, the players will play and not sit it out. I like Nomads to win this game in a VERY close one. PICK: NOMADS STRIKE FIRST Shermtanks vs. Brick Walls & Trees Tanks needs the win to avoid the Toilet Bowl. But would a loss be so bad? I mean, you do get LT or SA or CP or ANYONE you want. It will make for a long interesting off-season. BW&Ts has had a heck of a season. A last game loss wouldn’t be horrible, but why not set the bar at 12 wins? Only one way to beat that. The Swami hasn’t been great this year, but he would have to be an IDIOT to take a 3-9 over a 12-1 team… so I won’t. PICK: BW&Ts SET THE BAR HIGHER Brock’s Bandits vs. Colt .45s The second of our two inconsequential games this week. Brock’s team has certainly rebounded from his two sub 70 weeks with, averaging 111 points per game over the last four. Alexander is having quite a season, and the Brady/Branch combination has been very profitable. Colts have a chance to win this if Farve can show Chicago that they are not the team everyone thinks they are. He won’t. PICK: BANDITS STEAL ANOTHER WIN Born to Run My Mouth vs. New Jersey Jacobins This is a MUST win for both teams. Jacobins can guarantee a spot with this victory, and Born can guarantee he won’t get the Toilet Bowl with a win. Born’s team is certainly better today, than he was at the start of the season, but still only has three games over 100+. In the first one, McNabb scored 42, in the second one Manning scored 21, and the third one Manning had 22. He’s 2-1 in those games, so hoping for a big game from Manning is the best course of action. Of course, Jersey is sending out 8 of his original nine for the seventh time this season. In those games he’s 3-4. It won’t be pretty, but Jersey get’s my edge. PICK: JERSEY IS RE-BORN IN THE PLAYOFFS Married With Ravens vs. Blade Brown I love these teams. They have been on and off all season long and now here they are fighting for a place in the playoffs. Blade sends Harvard grad Fitzpatrick into the mix against Washington, while MwR sends dumped QB (is it bad when you get a Russian’s trash?) Vick to the block vs. Carolina. MwR has the best chance here with Jones and Lewis facing some easy D’s. Yahoo has this predicted to be a 30-point blowout by MwR. It will be closer, but the outcome the same. PICK: MARRIED WITH NO BLADES |
