Baltimore Tools vs. New Jersey Jacobins
Keepers Gonzalez and Barber, and number 1 draft pick Moss take the week off.  So what does that mean
to the birthday boy?  Why it means loss number 2 for the Jacobins, and FINALLY a second win for the
Tools! Happy Birthday Dave!
PICK: TOOLS

Colt .45's vs. Five Second Stare
Colt’s keep making trade after trade to improve his 3-1 team. Wait, your 3-1 and you’re trading???
Anyhow, the Ward upgrade will do wonders for the WR’s, but the Portis/Shipp RB tandem is not
something to pound your chest over.  Meanwhile Five has issues of his own – Brooks returns to the
lineup, for the second time this year (last time: Week 3’s 11 point performance).  LT will struggle against
the Steelers, while Galloway has HIS way with the Jets.  In the end Colt’s Brett Farve’s thirst for wins, and
revenge against his old team (Five) will define the game.
PICK: COLTS DROP THE 5

Brick Walls & Trees  vs. Nose
So far Wall’s seems unstoppable.  4-0 is good in any league at any time, any where (except baseball
when 4-0 is worthless at the beginning of the season).  BW&T’s has won all four games by an average
of 25 point’s each.  This week he get’s Nose, a sophomore whose team seems to struggle when
midseason comes around (based on 1 year of playing).  Horn’s hurt, Shokey is on a bye (11 points per
game – I WISH my TE would do that) and the Jet’s D get’s Tampa Bay.  Meanwhile, life isn’t any rosier in
Tree’sville as Lamont takes the day off, and Westbrook has to face a newly revitalized Dallas D.  But, oh
happy day, Wall’s Indy D will make a fool out of Rookie Alex Smith.
PICK: WALLS BREAKS NOSE

propaganda vs. Blade Brown
Nick needs a win like Jason needs a noose – Both will help ease the pain, both won’t happen.  Frerotte
returns after a week off, and McCallister and Davis head into easy territory, facing GB and Tenn
respectively.  Does that mean an end to the slide? Um, no.  Blade won’t suffer too much at the loss of
Collins for the week (Delhomme at Arizona will do just fine). Look for TO to run onto the star in Dallas
and proclaim “Brown forever!”
PICK: RED BLOOD = BROWN

Nomads in the Deep vs. Married With Ravens
Lest we forget MwR - then called One Way to Asia - was 10-3 last year and the winner of the regular
season.  But Nomads took that all away from him, winning the Championship and stealing all the glory
and thunder from that year.  Now it's 2005 and revenge is a dish best served... um... on a nice plate? On
a normal day, I would say the absence of Culpepper from MwR and Holmes/Johnson from NitD would
be a problem.  But the replacements are phenomenal: Dunn and Davis take over the reigns for Nomads,
who also send Steve “Return to 30+ Glory in Arizona” Smith back onto the field.  Meanwhile, MwR is
going to struggle with McGahee playing Miami (in Orchard Park), and Carr playing Tennessee.
PICK: NOMADS EAT RAVENS

Shermtanks vs. vs. Born To Run My Mouth
While Sherman has more points, Born has more wins.  Anyway you cut it, if either one of them wants to
salvage their season it starts right here. Born’s McNabb has been solid, and will probably take to the air
a lot against Dallas.  Tank’s Manning has been hot and cold, and will probably take it easy against San
Fran.  Born’s WR’s take on two easy-ish D’s (Chicago and Seattle) and one hard one (Washington).
Tanks take on three hard D’s (Philly, Indy and San Diego).  Born sends out a busted RB and backup to a
busted running back.  Tank’s send out a busted RB and a backup to a decent running back.  LJ
dominates Troupe and Stover beat Tynes (on a bye,Rich).  Finally Born’s Carolina will dominate Arizona,
while Philly will struggle against Dallas.  Whew… Rich, switch out that Kicker and you got yourself a
win…
PICK: BORN LEADS TANKS TO DEATH

Duckville Quackers vs. Brock’s Bandit
With Jon Heder hosting SNL this weekend, I want to pull for Duckville.  But the bigger story is Ashlee
Simpson’s RETURN to SNL this weekend – leading me to pull for Brock. Actually, can I take a second
here and quote a team owner?  Brock had the best line of the week when he told - via smack talk - Duck
that “I can't wait until Randy McMichael pictures you as his wife and beats you up.”  Congrats Brock – the
first smack talk to make me laugh out loud.  The bar is raised gentleman. The bar is raised. As for the
game, Yahoo has it separated by just 0.50 points.  Look for the tight match to get blown open by
Brady/Holt and Shawn Alexander.
PICK: BANDITS GO DUCK HUNTING
