OC Beach Ballers  vs
Baltimore Tools

Not to harp, but MAN, what a difference a year makes.  Scott was a
powerful force last year, one that everyone assumed would make
the ROFF Bowl.  But a playoff loss seemed to have broken the
steed and now look at him: 0-1 after a sad 70+ point start.  And
now this? Me in week 2?  Ugh, 2 losses in row Scott? How ever will
you bounce back?

PICK: TOOLS

labor power vs
Five Second Stare

After a humiliating loss in week one, labor looks to bounce back
behind the power of Droughns and McAllister, while Five looks to
get his first win with Dunn and Jones.  I don’t have much to say on
this game because just looking at it, it looks UGLY.  Even the
estimates don’t have either one of you over 95 points this week.
I'm going to take Stare on the sheer fact that your D - Indy - is
playing Houston this week and that could help anyone out.

PICK: STARING DOWN POWER

Nose vs
Shermtanks

Jason’s at 1-0, and those playoff hopes may not be too far away.
Of course, he’ll have to hand Nose his first loss of the season to
maintain the momentum. Nose has a solid team – even without
Reggie Bush.  Stallworth looks like the second coming of Owens in
Philly, and Holt/Boldin are always a good catch.  This week his two
stars face some easy matchups with Palmer vs Cleveland and
Jackson in San Fran.  Sherman may not have it so easily, with
Parker taking on Jacksonville and Bledsoe on Sunday Night against
Washington.  Tomlinson against Tennessee might not be enough
to help you this week.

PICK: NOSE BLOWS THE TANK UP

Inching Worms vs
Fighting Blue Crabs

You can’t say enough about the ultimate “beast vs beast” contest.
Worms are icky and Crabs are yummy – but fried they are both
delicious. The Crabs are loaded this week with Manning against
Houston, Johnson facing Cleveland and the resurgent Jamal Lewis
in the home opener against Oakland (can’t wait to read the blog on
this one Josh).  Worms face a tougher challenge with Leftwich
against the tough Steeler D and James taking on his first big test in
Seattle.  I think the one with claws has this.

PICK: CRABS SNAP WORMS IN HALF
New Jersey Jacobins vs
Dorfman

Ok, so here it is: The Jacobins have a really good team –
Apparently Tiki wasn’t a fluke, McNabb is back, and say-what-you-
will Moss will get the catches.  Ok, so maybe Moss won’t get those
catches this week, and they could still use some help with the rest
of the Wide Receivers.  Of course that isn’t a problem that Dorfman
has this week, upgrading his WR’s with the addition of Moulds and
Clayton in 2006’s first trade. In fact, if Foster can get some solid
points in Carolina and Kurt can maintain in Arizona, Dorfman’s
trade could be the turning point in his season.  Against my better
judgement, I’m going with my gut and giving Dorf the win this week.

PICK: DORMAN ROCKS JERSEY

Nomads in the Deep vs
Born to Run My Mouth

So the Champ looked good last week.  That means nothing, right?
He can’t win this weekend too, can he?  What? Owens on Sunday
night prime time?  SO!? He also has LJ without a QB playing
against Denever and Gore can’t POSSIBLY be as good as he
looked last week. Meanwhile, Born welcomes TJ Houchmancha-cha
back, and has good prospects with Shaun in the home opener vs
Arizona.  And Cadillac will get it running eventually right (you know,
after he heels)?  Gut time again – Smith will play limited time, giving
Born the win.

PICK: NOT BORN TO BE A NOMAD

Canton FC vs
Brock’s Bandits

The big question for this weekend: Is Reggie for real? After an
amazing week 1, can Reggie duplicate it at Lambeau field? Yeah,
probably.  And Lukin has other things in his favor: Hasselbeck
against Arizona, Wes “Whitey” Welker against Buffalo, and the
crème-de-la-crème – Baltimore D against Oakland’s poor pathetic
Aaron Brooks.  Bandits should have a solid showing with some nice
matchups too, including Brady at the Jets,, and Rudi against
Cleveland.  But in the end, Baltimore is going to crush Oakland and
hand Josh the win.

PICK: HOME GAME FOR CANTON = WIN
