Born to Run My Mouth vs
Baltimore Tools

Mouth is a healthy 2-3, but after last week’s debacle (damn you
Chad Pennigton! You’re playing for the Tools – NOT THE
WORMS!), I don’t think I can lose.  I just have that much faith in my
team, that I know they won’t lose two in a row this year, even with
Maurice Morris getting the start (talk about luck – not only does
Shaun’s injury knock him off the Mouth for this game, but it creates
a starting running back on my bench who I can swap out for the
“bye week” Chester).

PICK: TOOLS

Dorfman vs
Five Second Stare

What you have here is a perfect storm: Five has outscored teams
by 100 points this season – best in the league; Dorfman has been
outscored by 50 – third most in the league.  This week, Dorfman
starts his fourth QB in six weeks with Gradkowski taking the helm.
Against Cincy. Yeah, this is going to GREAT.  As for Five, well
when I say he has people on the bench, I literally mean on the
bench – Seriously, take a look: Farve, Driver, Edwards, Droughns,
Taylor and Herron all on Bye’s this week.  He literally is playing
every player possible to play this week.  Dorf needs the win to
remain in the hunt for late-ish December… and I’m giving it to him:
Your win over me last week earned you the respect you deserve.

PICK: DORFMAN PUNCHES OUT STARE

Fighting Blue Crabs vs
OC Beach Baller

Crabs are a surprising 1-4 after what everyone believed to be the
best draft in the league this year. This week, Manning takes the
week off.  Shermtanks couldn’t pull off a win without Peyton in his
time on the team.  Will Crabs?  Meanwhile, the Ballers start Jake
the Snake for the first time since Week 1, obviously running away
from the Huard vs. Pitt match up and looking to the Plummer vs
Oakland deal.  Westbrook looks like a good start this week, and I
believe the Jet’s D will manhandle Joey Harrington (although my
heart says “No! NO!!”)

PICK: CRABS NOT MEANT TO CONQUER
THE BEACH

labor power vs
Shermtanks

Let’s call a spade a spade: Although being a past champ, Nick has
never had more win’s than loses in the regular season.  In fact, he
only hold’s winning records against two teams in ROFF: Five
Second Stare, who he was 3-1 against until his loss this season in
Week 2, and Shermtanks, who he is currently 3-1 against, riding a
three year winning streak, including last years 111 – 85 victory.
This might be Jason’s chance to come back, as labor power is
hurting and sitting winless in the cellar… and no one wants to be
the first to lose to him.  Of course, he’ll have to get around the fact
that Troy Williamson, Greg Jennings and Matt Jones are relaxing
this week (a combined 140.6 points this year), while labor sends
out his A-listers. Shemtanks will win this game: I don’t know if
anyone has noticed, but he hasn’t loss yet when Parker and
Tomlinson start together…

PICK: TANKS HOLD THE POWER
Nose vs
Brock’s Bandits

This year Brock has smacked around opponents to get his 4-1
record, outscoring them by 2.20 points. Wait, WHAT?  That’s just
an average difference of 0.44 points per game!  And you can’t
argue with his logic: A win is a win, and any of us would kill to be in
the cushioned spot of first place.  The WORST he can do by weeks
end is be tied for the best record in ROFF.  Of course there is Nose
– His team has reached the century mark in every game so far this
season - a feat unmatched by any team this year (Actually, the
most games any team has gone in a season crossing 100 is 12,
done by One Way to Asia in 2004 and Brick Walls & Trees in
2005).  What cracks me up is that with all of this, I still am not sure if
he know’s what he’s doing – Currently Corey Dillion Is getting the
start – ON A BYE… and the only backup RB on the team: Yes,
Curtis Martin, who AT BEST won’t even return to PRACTICE until
next week.  Oh and his TE Winslow? Also on a bye, with NO TE’s on
the bench.  Finally it’s worth mentioning that’s he’s giving Grossman
the start over Palmer.  Say what you want about Grossman going
against ‘Zona, HOW DO YOU NOT GIVE PALMER THE START
AGAINTS TAMPA BAY!?  I am so frustrated with these decisions
and your team that I HAPPILY give Brock’s the advantage.

PICK: BANDITS BREAK SOME NOSE(S)

Inching Worms vs
Canton FC

I never would have guessed the Worms would be sitting at 2-3,
facing a Ravens defense and a Canton Offense in Week 5.  Never.
But here we are, and the Worms have to face both with Harrison,
Addai and Green on the bench.  Luckily, James is playing… oh,
against the Bears. Outcha.  Well, Canton looks good, with Reggie
Bush the third highest point getter behind Welker and the Ravens
D (Welker and Bush – primarily return guys –have a combined 151
points. Wow. Brock I want to see that rant you didn’t share with
us…).  Ravens D may not be dominant against Carolina (and
Double S), but Hasselbeck will be in Shaun’s absence (yes, he’ll be
ok THIS week). Look for Canton to further make Worms surprise
me…

PICK: CANTON IS NO PLACE FOR A WORM

New Jersey Jacobins vs
Nomads in the Deep

What a game last year’s championship was: Hasselbeck and
Johnson with 20+ points, Housh and Driver with 10+ and the Atlanta
D showing up with 10.  All while Jacobins showed up with a slowed
down Rod Smith and Tiki Barber (each produced about half what
they had done the previous week).  Jacobins had been dominant all
season, scoring 103 points per game.  But Nomads was a stronger,
better team.  At 10-3, they were second in the regular season
standings and were dominant with 118 points per game, including
11 100+ point games.  This year they both come in at 3-2 –
probably the best game of the week with the game possibly sending
one crippling down to the bottom of the pack and shooting the other
to the top.  Jacobins’s look great this week with Tiki back from a bye
and McNabb looking better than ever.  Add on a pissed off Randy
Moss and Julius Jones at home against inter-state rival Houston.
Nomads meantime could face some trouble with Double S, even
though it’s just good to have him back.  Gore and Johnson could
face some trouble against “shut ‘em down” D’s, as might Brees
against Philly.  Last year, I didn’t pick a winner for the
championship. As it’s regular season, I’ll take a stab: Jacobins.

PICK: REVENGE IS SWEET
