Nomads in the Deep vs
Baltimore Tools

Geez, you’re both so pretty, what to say?  Nomads is obviously
riding a sick winning streak right now, while I have suffered in my
last two. But have no fear, the Tools are here!  Yes, Nomads are
the favorite here, thanks to an overestimate of LJ with 21.  Not
going to happen.

PICK: TOOLS

Canton FC vs
Five Second Stare

While you weren’t looking, Josh Lukin has strung together four wins
in a row, and has put himself in second place, tied for the best
record at 6-2.  This week, he faces possibly his toughest challenge
as McNair (filling in for the hurt Hasselbeck) and the Baltimore D
takes on formidable opponent Cincinnati, and WR star Welker goes
against Chicago. Five faces a challenge of his own, as his Philly D
takes the week off. Playing the odds, he has put the Buffalo D in as
they face Green Bay.  Yeah, I tried that move, leveraging the Miami
D over GB.  It got me 4 points and a loss.  But I believe Bulger,
Driver, and Taylor.  I’m calling the upset: Five wins.

PICK: CANTON TAKEN DOWN BY FIVE

Brock’s Bandits vs
OC Beach Ballers

Speaking of 6-2 teams, say hello to Brock’s Bandits.  I can no
longer say it’s luck, but rather skill. Every week he has played the
right team to get the win.  This weeks looks to be no different, with
favorable matchups at the WR and QB level.  Add on the Giants D
against Houston, and you have yourself a very good day.  Not that
Scott and his 5-3 Ballers are slouching.  I mean, usually.  This week
is ideal to get him as Moss is injured, Jordan is still on the Q list,
and Coles, Westbrook and LJ are all on a bye. Bandit’s take
another one…

PICK: BANDITS CONQUER BEACH

Born to Run My Mouth vs
Shermtanks

I’m not going to lie – there was a time there I thought Jason was a
goner. After stringing together two win’s to start the season, he
dropped the next two.  Then a win, followed by two more losses.
But a win over Dorfman made him look good last week – with a 131
point showing – and bringing his record to 4-4, enough to stay in
the hunt.  Now it’s Born I’m worried about.  After starting the season
2-1, he’s dropped 4 of his last five, and sits in the bottom of the
pack.  And this week looks bad for him again with Cotchery on a
bye and Rock Cartwright getting the start again at RB.  The lone
bright spot: Manning against Houston.  That said, Jason clearly has
the stronger team, with everyone done their bye’s and the team
starting to gel.  Walker, Bryant, Tomlinson, Parker, Gonzo…

PICK: TANKS ARE REBORN
Dorfman vs
Fighting Blue Crabs

Ok, I’ll admit it on this one too – I had written off the Crabs as well.
Seeing our “Draft Winner” go 1-4 in the first five games was
heartbreaking.  But the team pepped up and strung together three
win’s in a row, averaging 124 points in the process.  And while on
that three game winning streak, Dorfman has been on a three
game losing streak.  In a failure to put up more than 90 points in a
game more than once, Dorf has dropped to 2-6 this season, and
hope of a third playoff berth in as many years is fleeting.  But fear
not! 42 roster changes this season (double the closest to the
moves of any other team) have left Dorf – and me – feeling like
change is on the horizon! The problem is Brown and Chambers: If
they can’t get it moving (again) against Chicago, look for Gregg to
run with away with it.

PICK: CRABS COUNT TO 4 IN A ROW

Nose vs
New Jersey Jacobins

Oooooh… a defining game. Which team will jump to 5-4, and which
will fall to 4-5?!  I love games like this.  And to make it more
interesting, 211 point gaining Donovan McNabb takes the week off
for the Jacobins, putting in place Fantasy failure - but 2006’s NFL
MVP candidate - Michael Vick.  Will Vick finally prove his Fantasy
worth against Detroit? What about Nose?  How will he fair without
Boldin, Stallworth or Keyshawn? And is Palmer ready for the
swarming D of the Ravens?  My overall comment is that Nose
doesn't have a solid #2 RB, and missing some key ingredients at
WR this week should cost him the game.

PICK: JACOBINS BLOW THE NOSE

labor power vs
Inching Worms

Congrats [WINNER’S NAME]!  You have won a very exciting and
close match against noted opponent, [OPPONENTS NAME].  Sure
he was missing [NAME OF BYE WEEK KEY WIDE RECEIVER], but
you were missing [NAME OF BYE WEEK KEY WIDE RECEIVER]
and were still able to pull it out. Now with your [NUMBER OF TEAM
WINS] win, you have a chance of getting yourself back into the
playoff race.  Sure, you have a tough road, playing the Tools and
Nose in the final weeks. But a win is a win, and you could be on
your way to another playoff appearance.  Of course, for
[OPPONENTS NAME], the end of the road cometh.  Good luck in
the coming week, for you will become the ROFF spoiler.

PICK: IF I HAVE TO PICK, LABOR
