The Next Google vs. Baltimore Tools
Me. Meeeeeeeeeeee. MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I may go suicidal if I
have to remain on the bottom of the pack. I recall this movie and I didn’t
like it the first time. Luckily easy match-ups this week give me the
advantage. COMMMMMMME ONNNN TOOOLSS!!!!
PICK: TOOLS
BushMaroney'07 vs. Five Second Stare
Pittman and Ward get the start in Five land as Peterson and Jodan take
the week off. Could be a tough week with Farve\Driver playing Chicago,
and Galloway at Indy. No that BM07 (hey, I just realized what those initials
mean…) will have it any easier, with Palmer out. Luckily for BM07, Bush
and Maroney return to the line-up, and how can you root against the
namesakes?
PICK: BUSH MOVES STARES BOWELS
Brock's Bandits vs. RandomThoughts
I said it in the Commish recap: Brock has never lost a Week 5 game, and
has completely dominated opponents during that week. Tack on Bross
(Brady\Moss combined, like Bennifer) playing Cleveland (I know, they
been better of late… but Cinncy still put up 45 against them) and I’m not
sure how much a chance Brian has. Of course, Rudi has the day off, but
with his injury anyway, I’m not sure what impact that will have.
PICK: BANDITS HAVE NO RANDOM THOUGHTS
New Jersey Jacobins vs. Nomads in the Deep
It’s hard to bet against Navid, especially when his team is “suffering” at 2-
2. And Dave is currently on a three game losing streak to the Nomads
(who isn’t), and has failed to break 100 in all five matches. And then you
look specifically at this week and notice that Nomads is playing a full team
(and a better team as Roeth steps in for Bulger) and that Dave is playing
without McNabb, Curry and possibly Henry (and note that backup RB
Buckhalter is on a bye). I think this is clearly Nomads game, but what do I
know? I’m 10-18 this season.
PICK: YAHOO! A JACOBINS WIN
anti-trust vs. Fighting Blue Crabs
The trust is in trouble: Caddy is gone, Jacobs time will be limited this
week, and Graham will be splitting carries. The sunny side? Crabs are
without Chad Johnson and Kevin Curtis this week. The dark side again:
Peyton faces TB. The bright side? trust has Reggie Wayne (which could
off-set the hurt. Dark side? Jones and Owens playing against Buffalo on
Monday night. Sunny? Jamal against NE. Tough call, but I do think Crabs
have the edge.
PICK: CRABS SNAP THE TRUST
Shermtanks vs. Nose
WOO-WEE! Tanks are locked and loaded this week. Riding a two-game
win steak, and fully stocked with Brees back from a bye, Fitzgerald,
Tomlinson and Parker. I am feeling the resurgence of the Tanks. All this
while Nose is taking a nose-dive (like that?), dropping his last three. It
could be a decent week for the man, as he gets some easy matchups, but
as I said – I’m liking the Tanks.
PICK: TANKS CRUSH NOSE
Hungry Horses vs. Born to Run My Mouth
Parker, Parker, Parker… where do I being? Last week was a clear
indication that Harrison and Westbrook were vital to your team. Now
Harrison is hurt and Westbrook (also hurt) is on a bye. I’m feeling good
about the GB D matchup against Chicago, but that’s about it. Then there
is Rich who looks great this year, but has to face life without Housh this
week and Alexander face the Pitt D (could this be a new low for Shaun?).
But Romo has been great this year, and could shine on a Monday night
game in, what is sure to be, a warmer than usual Buffalo. Hard not to pick
the better team this week…
PICK: BORN TO KNOCK OUT HORSES
