Maryland Tools (√) vs. B'Day
Brian’s team has been solid all season, but suffered due to big days against by his opponents. And while he’ll face easy matchups this weekend
(Brees against SF), he’ll suffer at the hands of MEEEEEE…

Five Second Stare vs. Nomads in the Deep (√)
Every year, this one gets a lot of noise in the press (by me mainly). Our two-time champs take each other on as Five continues to spiral and Nomads
looks to extend his streak. With Yahoo predicting Nomads to be 30 point favorites, it’s hard to argue. But after Nomads got away from me last week
(barley), I’m pulling for Jay (but predicting a Nomads win)

Double G vs. Shermtanks (√)
Jason looked great last week and since he hasn’t lost yet, I’m hesitant to pick against him. Although Forte and Tomlinson face some tough D’s this
week (yes, LT vs. Oak is hard), it’s Cutler that could explode against KC (my poor LJ). Scott could surprise people with Farve\Coles' Jets needing a
win (and playing at home against Arizona), but Portis could suffer a similar fate as he did in Week 1 (this time, against another NFC East rival, the
Cowboys).

Coffeeon3rd (√) vs. Nose
All year, I’ve been anti-Nose (a point Jarrett made to me at a bar recently). But after last week’s performance, it’s hard not to be impressed. I’m not
sure that Brown and Lynch can continue to get Nose 60 points every week (especially this week with Brown off), but it was impressive. Meanwhile
Josh has impressed me by building a team that can perform. Believe it or not, if these two had played each other last week, Nose would have won
126-121. It would have been one heck of a game. I’m a little worried about Nose’s depth this week (who’s replacing Brown on the bye - Fred Jackson?
What about Indy on a bye – as of today there is no backup D???), so I’m drinking Coffee.

Born To Run My Mouth (√) vs. Soaring Pigs
Addai is out this week. Westbrook is beat up. McNabb might not be 100%. It’s a tough week to be Parker Deay. But the Pigs have done more damage
with less people. That said, it won’t be this week as Born’s team continues to heat up. I like Romo and Housh to have big days and Born to eat some
fine flying Pork.

Colt .45 Bandits vs. Fighting Blue Crabs (√)
The besties (fun fact: they each wear one half of a heart on a necklace) take each other on (no homo) for the first time in ROFFL history. From a
franchise perspective, Brock has been beaten up the last two years (although revenge came in last years playoffs). But a new owner could mean new
results. Bye weeks will affect Brock in the form of no Matt Cassel (enter Brian Griese, stage left) and Randy Moss (hello Devery Henderson). VA in
the meantime will lose Peyton and Sammy Morris which bring JaMarcus Russell and Selvin Young back into the mix. I like Selvin, but I think JaMarcus
will be a joke (not that Peyton has done much for the Crabs this year). Looking at the full chess board, I like VA to take Brock down and even them up
at 2-2

New Jersey Jacobins (√) vs. fair trade
Toomer, Ginn, Ward, Vinatieri… all on a bye. That leaves Chambers, Johnson, Porter, Barber and Taylor manning the ship. I’m not worried - Dave’s
impressed thus far this season, posting big numbers. That said, I’m scared of Gus Frerotte – it’s kismet that he’s back on Nick’s team and I would be
surprised if he takes him all the way (yes, I DID say that). I’m going to pick Dave this weekend, but think I might be wrong in doing that. At 1-2, this is a
big game for both.

That’s all I got for this, Thursday, September 25, 2008. Good luck to all this week.

Congrats to Scott Watson who's 6 correct picks moves him into the leader position with a 17-4 record.  HOW DID YOU DO THIS WEEK?
