Five Second Stare vs B'Day (√) Last week I said I wouldn’t pick against Jason till he lost. And then he did. So this week I’ll say that I won’t pick Jay until he wins. Let’s see what happens… Double G (√) vs. Nomads in the Deep Not to be mean, but fuck these guys. They both beat me. Their both 3-1. And they’re both projected to break 100-points this weekend. Screw that. But more importantly, screw Navid and Brandon Marshall (DAMNIT! WHY DIDN’T I PICK HIM!?). I like Kitna/Megatron this week and am hating on an already bad Frank Gore. Give G his 4th in a row. Born To Run My Mouth (√) vs. Nose Insert typical Mouth/Nose jokes here. Then take a second to ponder this: Kiss holds a 4-2 lead in this series. And had they played any other week, Born would have won every time – even in Week 3 when the final score would have been 126.11 – 126.08. I like odd, and I like Born to break Jarrett’s two-game win streak. Colt .45 Bandits (√) vs. Soaring Pigs How badly does Colt want to beat Pigs? I would say pretty badly. With Westbrook potentially back, I like Parker’s odds to string together a few W’s. As for Brock, I still have concern about his WR’s. But this is another 3-1 matchup, so I’ll let history decide: Brock leads the series 4-2 and he’s on a three- game winning streak against Ducks\Worms\Horses. New Jersey Jacobins (√) vs. Fighting Blue Crabs Dave has certainly proved us doubters wrong. And with Kyle Orton starting this week against Detroit, I like his odds. Add on Barber against Cincy and Toomer (sans Burress) against Seattle. VA should put up a fight. And as much as I like the Sammy Morris matchup, I just don’t think it’s enough to overcome NJJ. (see – I can do SOME analysis!) Shermtanks (√) vs. fair trade It’s 5:44pm on Friday and I’m dumbfounded by this: Nick is a 100.25 – 99.54 favorite to wint his game?! SAYWHAT!? Tomlinson is going to run all over Miami, the same way Forte will destroy Detroit. My only two concerns are Fitz (who may see some more double teams with Boldin out) and the missing Burress. As for Nick, I just don’t think Jones and Schaub are going to have good days, especially playing teams coming off a bye. Yeah. I’m hating. That’s all I got for this, Friday, October 3, 2008.
