| Maryland Tools (√) vs. Born To Run My Mouth Sure, they haven't all been wins, but Rich has posted some serious points since his Week 1 loss to Dave (92, 126, 99, 129). Not sure if I'll be able to compete this week without Edwards or Johnson who did OH SO GREAT for me last weekend (motherf*ckers). Still, I like my odds with Jones back from a bye. Sigh. Me. To win. Coffeeon3rd (√) vs. Five Second Stare It's not laziness that's making me say this. It's lack of time: I won’t pick Jay to win until he wins. Even though I think this week will end the streak he never wanted. Double G (√) vs. B'Day It seems to me that Brian can't catch a break and that Scott's catching all of them. Riding a four-game winning streak, where he has won each game handily, and with virtually no one on a bye, I like Scott to win. But I'll never count out Brian and Steven Jackson (ok, maybe Jackson). Nomads in the Deep vs. Shermtanks (√) Nomads comes back from losing his first game four weeks. A tough blow, especially when it came at the hands of his own roommate. Meanwhile, Jason continues to be hot as he bounced back from his only loss this year with a win last week (although he didn't manage to cross the 100 point mark for just the first time. With his full lineup back this week, I like Tanks to beat up Nomads. Colt .45 Bandits (√) vs. Nose While Nose had that bounce back win in Week 3 where he scored 126, the team hasn't performed great (just like mine!). In fact, it was the only game that Nose crossed 90 points. I don't like Nose's chances this week, especially with Lynch and Roeth on byes. And Brock has the might to win, so I'm going with my gut. New Jersey Jacobins (√) vs. Soaring Pigs Oink. Oink, said the piggy. Oink, f*ing, oink. Not sure what that has to do with anything. What I do know is that as Westbrook goes, so do the Pigs. And if that rib is an issue this week, don't look for Parker to put up any more than 90. And right now, he also needs a defense. Dave's surprised me so far this year, and a win over the defending champ would look good on the resume. Give it to Dave! fair trade (√) vs. Fighting Blue Crabs Crabs and trade each have a win. They both really need another. If they had played any other week, Crabs would have won. And with a big 107 point showing last week, I like Crabs to win this one too! That’s all I got for this, Wednesday, October 8, 2008. Good luck to all this week. Full updates on league voting next week. |
