| Maryland Tools (√) vs. fair trade You can't count out Nick. He's made some people cry this year. And with no Gates or McAllister this week (I can't believe I just said that), it might be a tough one. But the Tools need a win and I think we'll see my team bond and step it up like never before! Five Second Stare vs. New Jersey Jacobins (√) After a great victory last week, Cantor looks to keep the mo going. But no one has mo like Dave and I like his matchups, especially with Cantor's bread and butter Rivers on a bye. Look for Cantor to jump back into the L column. Double G (√) vs. Colt .45 Bandits Let's face it. Scott's team is too good right now and with Bandit's putting in Oakland's Bush on a bye week, I'm not sure Brock even has a chance (I know I'm going to hear about that on the podcast) Nomads in the Deep (√) vs. Born To Run My Mouth Rich has never won a Week 9 game and I love streaks to continue. I was still going to give Rich the edge because Nomad's Gore was off this week, but then I looked at Rich's team: Cedric Benson and a rusted Edge? I don't think so. B'Day vs. Coffeeon3rd (√) I know I've said this a lot, but this game will be the end of someone. Every 3-5 team needs a win this week, and this game is going to leave one without it. And I think it's Brian who's the odd man out: No Brees and no Jackson (we think)? Doesn't leave much hope. Fighting Blue Crabs (√) vs. Nose Nose hasn't looked great in the last five weeks (only broke 90 once) and with Steve Smith on a bye (his go-to), it could be a troubling week. Add on VA's Manning against NE (which I see as a PLUS rather than a MINUS cause I think he'll play to a higher level) and I see VA getting his first back-to- back wins. Soaring Pigs vs. Shermtanks (√) After the string of luck Parker has had recently, I have to pick Jason. And I like the Hightower sub for LT (on a bye). That said, I think Philly is going to light up Seattle and as Philly goes, so do the Pigs. It'll be close, but it'll be Sherman as the winner. That’s all I got for this, Sunday, November 2, 2008.
