| Maryland Tools (√) vs. Shermtanks Four weeks ago I stated that this was not a position I wanted to be in. A win over Pigs or Crabs and I would have felt much better. But this week I have to beat Jason. A tough task but I’m hoping that his tough matchups and my easy ones will be enough to squeak by with a win. It’s a must win for me this week. Five Second Stare (√) vs. Nose Every year, someone has to win the Toilet Bowl in the league. Why shouldn't it come down to one last game. It’s pretty simple: Cantor wins then the TB is Jarrett’s based on points. Jarrett wins, then he’s got more victories and Cantor takes it. It’s going to be a battle to the finish, but I like Cantor to save the season in the final moments. Double G (√) vs. Soaring Pigs Parker is right there with the rest of us 5-7ers who desperately need a win to keep hope alive. But Double G is battling his longest losing streak of the season with three-in-a-row. A win for G this week could boost confidence going into the Playoffs. With Westbrook lacking in production and the question mark over McNabb's head, this could be a rough week for the Pigs. I’m going with G. Nomads in the Deep vs. Fighting Blue Crabs (√) Quietly, the Crabs have pulled themselves out of the race for the Toilet Bowl and now sit in a good spot to make the playoffs. I like the momentum and think that VA can keep it going this week. Gregg went 7-6 the last three years in-a-row and I think VA is going to make it a franchise streak of four years. B'Day (√) vs. fair trade Nick remains one win away from his first winning season in ROFFL history. But last weeks tumble against Nomads and B’Day’s big day from Brees and Turner (on the bench) give a good indication that Brian is going to snap his two year sabbatical from the playoffs. Coffeeon3rd vs. New Jersey Jacobins (√) Shame on all of us for counting NJJ out this year after Brady went down. He has had 8 100+ games and none of them involved Tom Turkey. As for Coffee, a lack of Reggie Bush has certainly made him struggle. I like Coffee’s chances more if Bush returns this week, but we all know he’ll be limited if he does (and who needs him – NO looked great on Monday night!). Give Dave one more win this season and maybe a regular season finish at number 1. Born To Run My Mouth (√) vs. Colt .45 Bandits Rich vs. Chris. Wonder if this’ll be mentioned on the podcast (of course it will!). Colts finally got their mojo back last week thanks to an oldie but goodie: NE QB to NE WR. This week that tandem may suffer against Pittsburgh. I won’t discount Brock, but I like Rich to take the victory. That’s all I got for this, Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Good luck to all this week. Looks like Scott’s going to run away with this. With one week to go, he’s sitting pretty at 54 correct picks. HOW DID YOU DO THIS WEEK? |
