Week 9
Published November 9
QUICK NOTES
  1. Congratulations to the winners of week 9
  2. Quote of the week, “Hey, I may loathe myself, but it has nothing to do with the fact that I'm Jewish.” – The
    genius that is Larry David
  3. The Good Looking Quote of Last Week: “With Brady starting again this week and Alexander coming off the
bye, look for Brock to get back in the win column"
  4. Rival – Nick’s current trash talk has made me laugh the loudest, by far.
  5. Did anyone see that Trading Spouses episode?  It proved once and for all that if you believe Jesus is talking
    to you, you’re probably insane.
  6. I will never admit that any of you are better looking then me.

HANDSOME (BEAUTIFUL) NOMADS IN THE DEEP (last week: NOMADS IN THE DEEP) – There is no doubt in my
mind that as of right now, Navid has the best team in the league.  So much so that he loses Priest Holmes and his
team just got better.  Navid roster is balanced and it's deep.  On a side note, I'd like to congratulate Navid on his
pursuit of making babies.  Hey buddy, good luck.

HOT BRICK WALLS AND TREES (last week: BRICK WALLS AND TREES) – Scott's team did pretty well without Marc
Bulger who is without question his MVP.  In week 9, he gets Bulger back but his weakness at wide receiver is glaring.
Other than Reggie Wayne, there's no receiver on Scott's team that blows my load.  If someone has a wide receiver
they're willing to trade, contact BW&T.

SEXY BROCK'S BANDITS (last week: BROCK'S BANDITS) – Brock's team got the much needed win this week and
no surprises, Brady and Alexander were starting.  The last substantial bye Brock has is this week (but I guess that's
true for everyone) with Rudi taking a seat for fan-favorite, Michael Bennett.  Brock also gets the return of 'Big Game'
just in time for his next opponent, me.  Looks like Brock's team is getting healthier at the right team.  My finals pick is
still Brock vs. Navid.  Good luck this week Mr.  Nice Ass.

GOOD-LOOKING NOSE (last week: NOSE) – Jarrett's team is on the cusp of breaking the glass and becoming one
of the elite in this league.  When Boldin returns, which should be around playoff time, and if Chris Brown can keep
this up I think Jarrett might have the best and most well-rounded team in the league, other than the current #1 guy.
Looks like Jarrett waiting to the last week of byes to get bitten in the ass, Palmer, Brown, and Horn all have byes.
Could be a rough week against a Cajun team that needs to win.

CUTE FIVE SECOND STARE (last week: MARRIED WITH RAVENS) - This is the most credit I've given my team and
I'm getting ready to take a drop (I give myself relatively no shot against Brock w/o LT and w/ Kevan).  I almost feel like
my team is like the sands of time, and sooner or later Galloway and Keyshawn are going to run out of steam.  But as
of now, they've been great and the gamble that is Tatum Bell has paid off the last month.  Time for the stretch run.
Good luck Mr. Dilfer.

ATTRACTIVE BLADE BROWN (last week: BLADE BROWN) - The silent assassin took a hard loss this week at the
hands of the brick wall.  Interesting trade with Parker Deay as Brian went for straight up potential as opposed to
points.  Perhaps a panic trade after T.O.'s release?  It's a game of the week situation as Blade takes on another 4-5
team, the .45's.  The problem with Brian's team isn't really the WR's so much as both of his RB's are a part of major
platoon backfields.  That could cause the end of the Ming Dynasty.

DECENT MARRIED WITH RAVENS (last week: DUCKVILLE QUACKERS) - This is the first week Lukin gets to roll the
dice with Mr. Plummer so it will be a good test of where his team will be in week 13.  Duce Staley gets the start this
week and in what I think can be a really good pick-up, Lukin took a shot at perennial fantasy bust, Michael Vick.

EH DUCKVILLE QUACKERS (last week: COLT .45'S) - Parker's trades have really lifted his team.  He has added
McNabb, Fitzgerald, and Dillon for Plummer, Crumpler, Taylor and McCardell.  When you look at it like that, if Parker
makes the playoffs he gets my vote for GM of the year.  We're at the point in the season where 5-4 teams through 3-
6 teams are in must win games.  Parker is in a big one this week against Dave who has proven, he does not suck.  I
think Parker has a better team, but it should be a close match.

NOT INTERESTED NEW JERSEY JACOBINS (last week: FIVE SECOND STARE) - For Dave the surprise has been
the consistent play of Reuben Droughns, who really broke out last week.  Apparently, all it took was getting arrested.
He loses Brees this week, but if Droughns can keep it up and you add in Brees, Tony G., Smith, Moss, Barber and a
Giants D that scores a lot of fantasy points, the Jacobins might land on this list where they started.

IF I HAD A FEW DRINKS IN ME COLT .45'S (last week: NEW JERSEY JACOBINS) - The good news is, he's married.
The better news is, he's new sister-in-law thinks I'm hot.  Unfortunately the bad news has been Gregg's downward
spiral since the trades.  Turns out the killer deal was Brown for Arrington and Shipp as neither of those two have
managed anything.  The KJ for Ward trade has actually paid off, but he needs Big Ben to be healthy to reap the
rewards.  At 4-5 Gregg is far from out of this, and odds are he's got to win another one soon.

NOT GOOD LOOKING BALTIMORE TOOLS (last week: BALTIMORE TOOLS) - The Tools suffered a tough loss this
week and I was able to witness the weeping at the Park Avenue Country Club.  Trent Green has been playing better
lately and Edge has been a stud.  Marc just has to get his team playing well on the same week.  One week Trent's a
beast, Edge is on the bye, the next week, the running backs play well, and the wide receiver bone.  If this group can
start playing like a team, Marc still might make that playoff push.

ONLY FOR $1 MILLION PROPAGANDA (last week: BORN TO RUN MY MOUTH) - So here's the thing… with all the
shit I've talked about Nick's team, is it safe to say he's the best GM in the league?  Winning with this squalor?  Well I
think he is.  Don’t get me wrong, I also think he's the luckiest GM too.  His team has no right being 4-5 but he has
managed to pull himself in the playoff race and his team is just as dangerous as everyone else’s.

IF I WAS BLIND BORN TO RUN MY MOUTH (last week: PROPAGANDA) - I saw that text to Marc, "F' it?"  It was a
matter of circumstance and Tomlinson's 4 TD's that plagued the Cajun one.  The injuries are starting to hit Kiss
hard.  Carnell Williams has not panned out since week 3, Fred Taylor is out, and Marion Barber III isn't reliable back
of the return of Julius.  With weak wide receivers, Kiss is going to need some breaks to make that 8th playoff spot.

GROSS SHERMTANKS (last week: SHERMTANKS) - I except Jason to perform pretty well the last few weeks.
Peyton has been scoring more for him and Cedric Benson might finally win the starting job in Chicago.  I really think
there is too much talent on this team to get a couple of more wins before the season's out.  The Toilet Bowl Award
(and L.T.) have not been gift wrapped for him yet.
