| COLUMNS |
| Commissioner's Note Another season draws to a close, this season's ending very similar to lasts: Congrats to Navid Sadri and Nomads in the Deep. Navid took over the team in 2003, renaming them the Bozboys. The team went 6-7 and failed to make the playoffs. A year later, under the new name "Nomads in the Deep", Navid took them to the same record, this time squeaking into the playoffs. Since that moment, the team is 6-0 in playoff games and now becomes the first team in ROFF history to repeat. Congrats Champ. Back-to-Back is ever so sweet. The trophy obviously likes the home you have provided. Another season comes to a close. Thank you all for your continued passion of this league. It makes running this league easily the best thing I do throughout the year. Thanks especially to Brian Yeung and Jason Cantor for keeping the league website alive and fresh every week. Thanks also to Scott, Brock, Jason and Lukin for your contributions. To all, I wish you happy holidays and a happy new year. The season is over, but the party continues: Super Bowl Sunday in Deep Creek Lake! Look for an email soon. Check back here in the next weeks for the announcement of the Owner of the Year and MVP Awards. That all said, start thinking of those keepers, who your number 1 pick will be, and (for some) what team name you are going with next year. Navid - I suggest you stay with Nomads... See you in August. |
