This week we’re taking a look at great sports-related television commercials. Every post this week you’ll see two regular hits and then two great links to great moments in sports commercial history. And if you have some suggestions of others, go ahead and let me know.
Regular Posts:
- What the F did Nick Hogan do to this car? And did he survive by using Brooke’s boobs as cushioning?
- Take an early look at the upcoming The Assassination of Jesse James…
Classic Sports Commercials:
- Gatorade – Like Mike: Believe it or not, I owned the cassette disk single. Best 99 cents I ever spent. (PS – The end says, “Be Like Mike. Drink Gatorade.” Scott can vouch that we could NEVER do that in kids TV these days.
- McDonalds – Nothing But Net: Groundbreaking and exciting everytime it came on. And then Nike fulfilled a Dolphin’s fan from the DC/Metro areas dream and made a Longwell vs. Mare
my vote… “23 vs 39″
Another reason to love the Gatorade commercial, it was back when they had glass bottles.
