New Look – Part 1

- Next week, the Lions, Jaguars and 49ers are expected to unveil new uniforms and logos. Keep checking An Orange Peel for updates

- April is National Grilled Cheese Month: I haven’t had a craving for a grilled cheese sandwich since I was 12, yet the other day I saw one and wanted it. Of course it’s Passover, so I’ll have to wait a few days

- The Washington Post held it’s third annual Peeps Show contest and for the third year-in-a-row I forgot to enter (damn you brain!)

- “It got so bad for the Yankees that first baseman Nick Swisher pitched a scoreless eighth inning, the first New York position player to take the mound since Wade Boggs used his knuckleball in 1997” (Ed note: A scoreless inning? Maybe Swisher should be the starting pitcher)

- As a kid growing up in Maryland, I attended a lot of Easter Egg Rolls at the White House, but never did I get the President to help me roll my egg. Best I got was a weird photo with the Clintons… sigh…

-  The Mets go first: Tonight opens one of the two new New York baseball parks as the 3-3 Mets face the 5-2 Padres

- Only, what, A WEEK into his new two-year contract with the Dodgers, Manny is already thinking about where he’ll play next 

- Chelsea Handler and Eliza Dushku go naked for Allure magazine. It’s kinda NWA, but you can’t really the naughty stuff

- Plot details on Sex 2 were leaked and apparently it’ll deal with Carrie and Big again. Geez… let’s move on. Someone else MUST be having sex in the city these days!

- Congrats to the Yanks on your first win. FYI – O’s still lead division (well, a close second tie).

- I cannot wait for the NFL season to start – GET HERE ALREADY! In the meantime, here’s a team-by-team list of their 2009 opponents

- More reasons to hate the Yankees: “Just Calm Down Spa is offering a Yankees Blue manicure and pedicure… The service starts with a chocolate chip soak and chocolate chip cookie dough scrub in honor of slugger Derek Jeter’s favorite snack – chocolate chip cookies” (thanks Emily for the link)

- I’ve been to many Easter Egg Rolls at the White House in my day and I can’t seem to remember a “No Gays Allowed” sign. This year, Obama does away with it for good

- Ha, ha. Unless it’s Vegas, this place probably has more than just three ugly girls

- Saw Spitzer on a plane to Utah recently and he DID seem pained by the hurt he caused his family. Of course he was sitting in coach, so we were all a little pained

- Lady GaGa got a little crazy in NYC a few nights ago. I warn you – these pictures are weird (still, I love “Poker Face”). On a related front, Paris Hilton is sporting the “Lady GaGa look” these days (or is it the Geordi La Forge?)

- Can’t say we’re not classy in Maryland: Miss MD 2004 was busted for drugs and guns
